CORRUPTION IN SANTA ROSA AND THROUGHOUT THE PHILIPPINES

"I've seen enough pain and poverty in the Philippines. All I wanted was to be able to
get out of it - the pain and the poverty - and live decently everyday."

- Arnel Pineda, talking on the Oprah Winfrey Show

"We have heard the same rumors as you that Vice Mayor Manoy Alipon was behind the killings of Mely Carvajal, Leon
Arcillas, Boyie Gomez, Jensen Cristobal and Raul Aala, and the attempted slaying of Joey Catindig. It is rumored that
over several years Manuel 'Manoy' G. Alipon's ruthless desire to be Mayor hatched a cunning and devious plot to create a
false vendetta that would divide and conquer the Arcillas and Catindig clans who stood in his way by turning their massive
political organizations and their many thousands of supporters against each other. His alleged plan was to sneak past them
while they are fighting and seize the mayoralty for himself. Already we know he is guilty of grafts, adulteries, corruptions,
deceits, extortions, frauds, thefts, dealings in illegal drugs and guns, and other unlawful activities. We also know that many
of his former sponsors, volunteers and voters are turning their backs on this satanist hypocrite and switching their support
to candidates who are true to Santa Rosa and who will genuinely serve our city with ethics, honesty, integrity and honor
like those of Cory Aquino who saved our whole country from the evil dictator Marcos. This collective deserved backlash
will vote Manuel "Satan-Worshiper" Gonzales Alipon out of politics forever. The longer that Alipon remains in politics,
the more damage he will do. He is a municipal calamity, a bringer of destruction and disaster to our city and our people."

- CACOMA (Camapign Against Corruption Of Manoy Alipon)

Every Sta. Rosa constituent has a solemn duty in 2010.
The Corrupt, Sneaky, Treacherous Adulterer and Betrayer
MANUEL "JUDAS" GONZALES ALIPON
Is Destroying The City Of Santa Rosa, Laguna.

In 2010 we must use our voting power to stop him.

"I just do whatever it is that I believe I should do, regardless of the risks to my life....I would rather
die a meaningful death than to live a meaningless life.... This is a time to return to our basic values.
For us who are a people of faith, Christians and Muslims alike, it is a time to return to our true faith.
True faith must be rooted in prayer, in our trust of a loving father, in loving sacrifice of self for the
greater good of all. The problems of peace and poverty, social justice and good governance are
concerns of everyone and everyone must do his or her share."
- Cory Aquino (Jan. 25, 1933 - August 1, 2009),
First Woman President of the Philippine Republic

"In 2010 Vice Mayor Manuel Alipon will be a burden and a handicap to any political group that supports him, whether it
favors or opposes the present Malacañang administration. The Vice Mayor's closest family, friends and supporters know
that CACOMA, the anti-corruption campaign against him, has legal substance and a lot of money behind it. What this
indicates more than anything else is an absence of political skills on the part of Alipon and his advisors. The people he
turns to for professional advice, if indeed he ever listens to anyone else, will inevitably suffer from association with him.
Any real politician with a modicum of the basic skills necessary to career survival would long ago have been pragmatic
enough to nip this situation in the bud, not allow it to escalate out of control. At the level of Vice Mayor, near the very
bottom of the political ladder, making so many rich and powerful enemies in your first term of office is political suicide.
Manuel Alipon had his chance and he blew it. His political career is over, and ultimately he has only himself to blame."
- Philippine political analyst/consultant

"We expect the new law on firearms to have more bite by increasing the fines and penalty of illegal
possession. People who will get caught in illegal possession of three or more guns will not be allowed
to post bail. The PNP is offering two amnesty programs in 2009 – one which started last August 1 for
those who have expired and un-renewed firearm licenses; and two, the one-month amnesty period
from Oct 1 to 31, which is for patently loose and never-been-registered guns. We encourage our
constituents to register their patently loose firearms to avoid legal problems in the future
like heavy fines and imprisonment."
- Jesus Verzosa, PNP Director General

"We are all witnesses to the devastation that runaway corruption has wrought upon our
people and our country. Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng spotlighted the urgency of taking
immediate action against corruption. Surely, we do not have to wait for the next natural
calamity to happen before we are roused into collective action. CITA views corruption as "SIN"
and in obedience to our living and true God, the creator of all things who hates "SIN", we
believe we should vigorously and openly reject "CORRUPTION" from the Barangay level all
the way up to the highest office on the land."
- Pete L. Ilagan, President of the Christian Initiative for Transparency and Accountability

"Manoy Alipon makes the corrupt politician's mistake of
thinking the people love him. Nothing could be further from
the truth. He was elected because in 2007 he robbed his
business partners to buy votes. This is the truth. The poor
people whose votes he bought for a few pesos have only
contempt for his exploitation of their poverty."
- former Barangay Balibago volunteer

"I wonder, will Vice Mayor Manoy Alipon take responsibility for arming Sta. Rosa
employees with patently loose and never-been-registered guns, or will he deny
any knowledge and make his staff liable to heavy fines and imprisonment?"
- internet blog

"Some people are surprised at how inactive and reclusive our corrupt Vice Mayor, Manoy Alipon, has been lately. When
he was merely 'Kap Manoy' of Barangay Balibago the city of Sta. Rosa was flooded with his fake smile on promotional
tarpaulins everywhere. Since then the floods have come from 'Ondoy', 'Pepeng' and other calamities, and the cowardly
Manoy Alipon hides away behind the unlicenced guns of illegally armed municipal employees. Why? Because he was
involved with illegal Laguna De Bay activities causing the unnecessary floods that made so many people homeless and
destitute. His entire working life consists of involvement with illegal activities that destroy the peoples' homes and God's
environment given to us all for responsible use and protection. God may forgive Manoy Alipon, but it is hard for humans
to see forgiveness in the faces of thousands of poor innocent children suffering from malnutrition and disease when the
funds allocated to help them are plundered and spent by our Vice Mayor Alipon to give his own children very expensive
educations. He, Manuel Gonzales Alipon, represents the worst and most destructive element in Philippine politics. With
no ethics and no morality, he demonstrates daily how easy it is for criminals to become rich in our society by entering
politics. He failed as seminarian. He failed as teacher. He failed as businessman. With God guiding our paths, it is our
Christian duty to ensure that Manoy Alipon fails as politician. Working together against his corruption, we will stop him."
- CACOMA (Campaign Against Corruptions Of Manoy Alipon)

"Vice Mayor Alipon likes to boast that he has "Brothers in Christ" occupying high
public and commercial positions. I wonder, are they all hypocrites like him? Do
they all indulge in adultery and corruption as Manoy himself does? Do they all
like to boast of their brotherly association with him in the same way?"
- Sta. Rosa municipal employee

Corrupt Swiss banks give secrecy to the world's criminals. Do we elect politicians to become world criminals?
Is this what our brave and illustrious Philippine National Heroes dedicated their lives to?
Is this what our own grandfathers, and ancestors going back centuries, sought Independence for?

Is our government really doing anything to crack down on corruption in Philippine politics?
Whilst so-called "public servants" flaunt their hypocritical pretense of promoting IT, the giant Intel Corporation
is planning to ditch its Philippine operations due to extortionate Philippine corruption costs.

The United States Agency for International Development says: "Corruption continues to be a major challenge to
development and progress in the Philippines. Corruption constrains competition in markets and limits government
capacity to raise revenue and invest in human resources and infrastructure. It also aggravates inefficiencies
in public resource allocation, undermines public confidence in government, and threatens the
Philippines’ ability to secure both local and foreign investment.
"

The Philippine Business Leaders Forum (PBLF) says: "The Philippines has become the most corrupt country in
the region, imperiling efforts to attract foreign investors and to keep those who are already here."
PBLF has a membership of about 240 executives representing 40 multinational corporations operating here.

The Asian Institute of Management Policy Center says: "The level of corruption and the stink of it is five
times greater here than ever before witnessed
. Companies doing business in Asia allot about 10 percent
of their costs for facilitation (bribes). In the Philippines, the figure is more than 50 percent."

Is our government spending public funds on public projects or corruptly pouring them into politicians' pockets?
The Philippine Star newspaper raised this question: "How many thousands of public-school classrooms or
barrio clinics could those alleged billions of pesos in bribes or overpricing have squandered?"

The Political and Economic Risk Consultancy (PERC) says: "It is bad and has been bad all along. People are
growing tired of the inaction and insincerity of leading Philippine officials when they promise to fight
corruption
.” With Philippines number one in corruption, Singapore and Hong Kong ranked cleanest economies.

Now is the time for honest, hard-working, deserving Filipinos and Filipinas to make every vote really count.
Patience is normally a virtue, but not when a corrupt government callously abuses and defrauds its electorate.
We need impatience with corruption, impatience to clean it up, impatience to eradicate poverty and disease.

The independent and highly respected IBON Foundation says:
"President Gloria Arroyo may indeed be the most corrupt president the country has ever had, based
on amounts lost to the Filipino people
. Clearly, corruption has greatly benefited the Arroyo administration
while it continues to worsen poverty and deny much-needed social services to millions of Filipinos."

The world now describes corruption as: "The Philippine Disease."
They say: "Philippine corruption is a cancer eating away vital organs of a potentially great country."
They declare: "The Philippine Republic is the most corrupt nation on Planet Earth."

Philippine governments have been hell-bent on downtreading the electorate deeper into third world poverty.
What is our present government doing to bring us the health, education, prosperity and happiness we deserve?
These things are our birthright as voters in the democratic Philippines our forefathers gave their lives for.

THE OPPRESSION OF CORRUPT FILIPINO POLITICIANS SINCE INDEPENDENCE
WAS WORSE THAN THE PREVIOUS OPPRESSION OF FOREIGN OCCUPATION

Our ancestors fought heroically to free us from successive Spanish, American and Japanese occupation.
But was foreign occupation any worse than our hypocritical and corrupt Philippine governments since then?
How much longer must the people of this great nation wait to benefit from Philippine Independence?

Let us make Santa Rosa City an example to the Philippines and the world. Let us be as clean as Singapore.
We can be a beacon of honesty for our future, shining above the satanic darkness of past corruption.
Manila governments have crucified the Philippines. Santa Rosa Laguna believes in its resurrection.

What better time than Easter for all the Filipino people to stand up in peace and harmony for their lawful rights?
The Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ is our eternal inspiration!
At Easter every year let us unite in prayer that He will guide us to resurrect the glorious Philippines in His name.

ELECTION 2010 - VOTE AGAINST MANOY ALIPON

LANDSLIDE OF SUPPORT FOR CBCP

CBCP (Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines)
The CBCP has condemned the continuing culture of corruption from top to bottom of our social and political ladder.
It called upon people, government and church to fight against corruption at all levels and promote truth and integrity.
Three of the Catholic bishops called on all Filipinos to seek community action against corruption.
They stressed it must be peaceful action, not confrontation or violence.

UCCP (United Church of Christ in the Philippines)
“We call on the Filipino people to have the courage to be set free from the sins injustice, oppression, suppression
and violence. Let us claim our right for the truth. Let us support and join in collective action for the truth to
come out and let justice roll down wherever it may.”

IFI (Iglesia Filipina Independiente)
"The Filipino people deserve a president and a government that would genuinely promote their welfare
and wellbeing and uphold their interests as citizens of the country.”

NMCP (National Methodist Churches in the Philippines)
"This evil corruption has to be exorcised and ended."

Makati Business Club and the Muslim Legal Aid Foundation are among many other religious, secular
and civic groups supporting the CBCP’s position.

"If you are a Catholic or any kind of Christian, you cannot buy into this lack of ethics
in the world. If people tell you everyone else is like it, that does not make it right.
You must resist the evil enemy and fight back to defend your Faith."
- Mother Angelica, beloved founder of the Catholic
Eternal Word Television Network, which
ministers the Word of God to all the world.
