"I've seen enough pain and poverty in the Philippines. All I wanted was to be able to get out of it - the pain and the poverty - and live decently everyday."
- Arnel Pineda, talking on the Oprah Winfrey Show
"Some people are surprised at how inactive and reclusive our corrupt Vice Mayor, Manoy Alipon, has been lately. When
he was merely 'Kap Manoy' of Barangay Balibago the city of Sta. Rosa was flooded with his fake smile on promotional
tarpaulins everywhere. Since then the floods have come from 'Ondoy', 'Pepeng' and other calamities, and the cowardly
Manoy Alipon hides away behind the unlicenced guns of illegally armed municipal employees. Why? Because he was
involved with illegal Laguna De Bay activities causing the unnecessary floods that made so many people homeless and
destitute. His entire working life consists of involvement with illegal activities that destroy the peoples' homes and God's
environment given to us all for responsible use and protection. God may forgive Manoy Alipon, but it is hard for humans
to see forgiveness in the faces of thousands of poor innocent children suffering from malnutrition and disease when the
funds allocated to help them are plundered and spent by our Vice Mayor Alipon to give his own children very expensive
educations. He, Manuel Gonzales Alipon, represents the worst and most destructive element in Philippine politics. With
no ethics and no morality, he demonstrates daily how easy it is for criminals to become rich in our society by entering
politics. He failed as seminarian. He failed as teacher. He failed as businessman. With God guiding our paths, it is our
Christian duty to ensure that Manoy Alipon fails as politician. Working together against his corruption, we will stop him."

POVERTY IN SANTA ROSA AND THROUGHOUT THE PHILIPPINES
When the USA granted Independence to the Philippines on July 4 1946, this country had everything going for it.
Japan's World War 2 aggressions in Asia had been comprehensively beaten, ended by 2 US atomic bombs.
Japan was - politically and economically, mentally and emotionally, spiritually and physically - in ruins.
The Philippines, on the winning side, in 1946 became overnight the #1 independent economy in Asia.
Just look how the mighty have fallen:
Japan picked itself up from the WW2 ruins and was very soon the #1 independent economy in Asia.
Within just 14 years the Philippines as an independent nation had been deposed by the recovery of Japan.
Our decline accelerated. We were overtaken by nation after nation. The latest to overtake us is Vietnam.
In 2009 we are bottom of the list: proof that in 63 years our politicians have destroyed our country.
So what went wrong?
Corruption, corruption, corruption, corruption, corruption, corruption, corruption and corruption.
If this isn't clear enough, what caused our decline was corruption, corruption, and corruption.
If you still don't quite get it, the problem was corruption, corruption, corruption and corruption.
This was followed by corruption, corruption, corruption, corruption, corruption and corruption.
And then......you've guessed it......there was yet more corruption.
But why? Everyone knows that corruption creates poverty!
You've got it! Corrupt politicians create poverty! It's what they want! It's what they've always wanted!
How can they maintain secret Swiss bank accounts if they spend the public funds on eradicating poverty?
How can they buy cheap votes at every election if they don't keep enough people starving and desperate?
How can they manipulate and control if they don't keep people undernourished, uneducated and in poor health?
Be serious! You don't really believe corrupt politicians go into politics to help other people do you?

What can we do about it?
“Ang hirap ng buhay namin. Samantalang yung iba, ninanakaw lang ang pera ng
bayan na pwede sanang gamitin para matulungan kaming mahihirap."
- Constituent whose family's permanent poverty is caused and
maintained by continuous political corruption

Corrupt politicians are dinosaurs destined for extinction. Help to free our nation from their tyranny.
In the Philippines, an average of 20 percent of the country’s annual budget goes to corruption, and the
money lost to corruption could have funded spending on social services like education, healthcare,
housing and livelihood capital, and infrastructure. This time, it’s no longer enough to just name and
shame corrupt officials. It is about empowering all to act and to demand good governance.
Non-government organizations and civil society groups are needed to help out.
If no one’s watching, corruption thrives.
- Teresita Baltazar, chairperson of the Anti-Graft Commission
Times have changed. Filipino bloggers around the world are watching.
Filipino bloggers are fearless warriors. Filipino bloggers protecting their
families will never be silenced by the hired guns of corrupt politicians like
the infernal Satan-worshipper Manuel 'Judas' Gonzales Alipon of Laguna.
To us he is the foul stench of a bad breath belch or a turd of putrid shit.
We cast a curse on his murderous thefts of public funds, and our curse
will exterminate his 2010 election campaign.
